About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight accurately, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and maintaining an orderly backroom and work area. You may also help customers locate or load products and provide friendly, professional customer service. This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves spending most of the shift on your feet and following safe lifting practices. Depending on store needs, shifts may occur in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight. The work may take place indoors and outdoors in varying weather and climate conditions, and may involve noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting limits and use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders in the Orders App, loading and rotating orders, resolving customer order issues, communicating proactively with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The position does not require regular travel, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
- Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
- Provide friendly, professional support to customers and teammates.
Nice To Haves
- At least 3 months of experience operating forklifts or other powered equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
- Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
- Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and move products to the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment such as scanners, Zebra phones, balers, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
- Assist customers with locating or loading products.
- Complete other assigned tasks as a team player.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders using quality, accuracy, and safe-loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to support delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
