About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, moving products to the sales floor, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. You may assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. Shift times vary according to store needs and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours. The position does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Additional responsibilities at Pro Fulfillment Stores include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders through the Orders App, loading orders accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating proactively with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor work, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
- Provide customer support with a friendly, professional attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
- Unload freight and stock merchandise by down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and support store operations using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
- Occasionally travel for meetings, training sessions, or to support nearby stores, if needed.
