About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Hours may fall in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position supports store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, moving products to the sales floor, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. It may include helping customers locate or load products. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role does not require regular travel, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Environmental conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor work, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.

Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
