About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and assisting customers or teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Scheduling may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours based on store needs. For Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, safely loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating proactively with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role does not require regular travel, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices and applicable lifting guidelines.
Use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or other power equipment, such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, or veteran background; Lowe’s encourages candidates with these backgrounds to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
Assist customers with locating or loading products.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders using quality, accuracy, and safe-loading practices; rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Communicate proactively with customers about delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
