About The Position

As a part-time Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing your work area for daily operations. It is physically active and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Work hours may fall in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. You may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. You will unload freight, move products to the sales floor, maintain organized backrooms, and keep the workspace clean and safe. Some shifts may include customer order fulfillment and loading duties, particularly at Pro Fulfillment Stores. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Work conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor settings, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices and adhere to lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds.
Use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when assisting customers and teammates.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
At least 6 months of experience handling inventory and stocking in a warehouse.
Bilingual skills, military experience, or veteran status are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
