About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing your work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Shifts may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. You will unload freight, move products to the sales floor, maintain organized shelves and backrooms, and keep the workspace clean and safe. You may help customers locate or load products. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging flatbed delivery orders, loading orders, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers, and following delivery-readiness practices. The role may involve working inside and outside in varying weather and climate conditions, exposure to noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment, and lifting. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds under the stated guidelines; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds under the stated guidelines.
Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, and veteran applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player to complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage flatbed delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
