Full Time - Receiver/Stocker - Day
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The work includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and maintaining an organized backroom and workspace. You may also assist customers with locating or loading products and help teammates as needed. The role is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. You must use safe lifting practices and follow procedures for equipment, hazardous materials, and housekeeping. Work may take place indoors or outdoors and can involve varying weather and temperatures, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Schedules vary with store needs and may include morning, evening, or overnight hours. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders in the Orders App, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or nearby-store support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
- Provide customer service with a friendly, professional attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or other power equipment, such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience handling inventory and stocking in a warehouse.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional support during projects.
- Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
- Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and support store operations.
- Use pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other store equipment as needed.
- Follow safety procedures for hazardous materials, equipment operation, lifting, and housekeeping; maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders safely and accurately, rotate orders by delivery date, resolve customer order issues, communicate proactively with customers, and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
