About The Position

Join our Commissary team in Bushwick as a Receiver / Maintenance Porter and help keep our kitchen running smoothly. This role involves receiving and putting away deliveries, checking items for quality and proper labeling, keeping storage areas clean and organized, taking daily temperature logs, completing basic food safety and receiving paperwork, taking out trash and recycling, and assisting with general cleaning and light maintenance.

Requirements

• Comfortable with physical work, lifting, pulling, carrying 50+ lbs, and climbing ladders
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and stay active throughout the shift
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow a daily task list
• Able to read, write, and do basic math
• Available consistently to be on time for early morning shifts in Bushwick, Brooklyn
• Will be exposed to various environmental conditions such as cold due to refrigeration or heat due to hot surfaces

Nice To Haves

• English/Spanish preferred but not required
• High School education preferred; will need basic reading and arithmetic skills and understanding
