About The Position

KF Aerospace is seeking a Receiver/Inspector to join their team. This role is responsible for completing receiving processes for various items including parts, tools, supplies, and drop-shipped materials. The position reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor and involves ERP data entry, initial inspections for damage and quantity correctness, sorting, unpacking, and verifying contents against documentation. Upon completion of in-house training, the role expands to include regulatory inspection of parts and materials to ensure compliance with governing bodies, customer requirements, and KF policies. The Receiver/Inspector is accountable for ensuring data accuracy, processing ERP transactions to final approval, raising service difficulty reports, and quarantining or rejecting non-compliant items.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Completion of inhouse Receiving Inspector training requirements.
  • Able to interpret complicated paperwork (regulatory), comprehend processes/procedures and accurately complete all documentation.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to effectively manage large workloads daily.
  • Strong problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts when required.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle freight which entails lifting including, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing and pulling.
  • Displays a positive professional attitude toward co-workers, customers, management, and the various internal department personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience would be an asset (in-house training is provided).
  • Receiving experience preferred and an asset.
  • Aircraft Parts and materials receiving experience will be an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills: ERP systems, MS Excel, and MS Word experience preferred.
  • Controlled Goods and Restricted Area Identification Card (Red Pass) certification may be required (completed in-house, requires background check).
  • Dangerous Goods Certification may be required (in-house training).

Responsibilities

  • Completion of Receiving processes for parts, tools, products, shop/office supplies, and drop-shipped material.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures in accordance with defined regulations, ISO standards, and the Supply Chain Process Manual.
  • Assisting in the off-load and acceptance of incoming freight.
  • Performing initial pre-receiving inspection for damage and waybill quantity correctness.
  • Initiating the Rejections process with recorded damage if product is damaged.
  • Sorting and separating freight for receipt, unpacking packages, skids, and crates while avoiding product damage.
  • Collecting all documents, verifying contents against packing lists, kit lists, bills of material, and certification.
  • Checking product for damage and accuracy.
  • Processing all ERP “Data Entry” transactions.
  • Communicating frequently with KF Aerospace departments and Customer representatives.
  • Ensuring the receiving area is tidy and maintained daily.
  • Continuous learning and training around airworthiness regulations and customer requirements.
  • Supporting warehouse functions, as required.
  • Performing regulatory inspection of parts, materials, and documentation for approval and acceptance (upon completion of training).
  • Ensuring data accuracy for all inspections is complete (upon completion of training).
  • Processing of all ERP transactions taking the part through to final approval (upon completion of training).
  • Raising service difficulty reports, as required (upon completion of training).
  • Communicating with the QA department regarding concerns found during inspection (upon completion of training).
  • Ensuring all parts/material not meeting regulatory requirements are quarantined and rejected (upon completion of training).
