About The Position

The Receiver III is responsible for overseeing the unloading and receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring all items are received in good condition. This role involves operating specialized machinery, accurately checking shipments against purchase orders, and safely transporting and storing materials. The position also requires conducting quality checks, collaborating with other departments, and maintaining inventory levels. Adherence to safety protocols and demonstrating company principles are crucial aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Excellent level of accuracy and thoroughness in verifying shipments and documentation.
  • Forklifts, pallet jacks and side loaders experience with the ability to obtain certification onsite is required.
  • Advanced computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Great interpersonal skills are essential to operate in and maintain a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidates must provide truthful and complete information regarding their eligibility to work in the U.S. and any current or future need for employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-5 years of incoming inventory/materials experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the unloading and receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring all items are received in good condition.
  • Operate specialized extrusion-processing machinery, including the thermal strip insertion and pour-and-debridge machines, forklifts, side loaders and requires safe handling and occasional manual lifting of aluminum extrusions.
  • Accurately checks incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists and identify and resolves discrepancies.
  • Safely transport and store materials in designated warehouse locations using material handling equipment.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that products meet specified standards and are free from damage or defects.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as purchasing and production, to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicate with a supervisor or Purchasing Department when materials/supplies are running low.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials throughout the shift to ensure they are properly stocked and organized.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Demonstrate MITER Brands Guiding Principles in all business interactions.
  • Other duties may be assigned
