Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB) is hiring experienced Forklift Operators for its Houston manufacturing plant. Requirements

Comfort with utilizing Microsoft Office Systems/ Technology- including Outlook and Excel
Prior forklift experience required ( 2+ years)
Strong organizational skills and hand-eye coordination
Ability to adapt to change and support continuous improvement
Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset
Basic English reading and writing skills required
Must be at least 18 years old
2+ years of forklift experience required
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment
Must be able to multi-task, take initiative, and work independently
Availablity to work 2nd shift ( 3pm-12am ) and occassional Saturday availablity as needed.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing and/or pneumatic tool experience preferred

Responsibilities

Load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the plant using a forklift
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and enter data into the system
Organize and stock raw materials while maintaining a clean work area
Perform daily forklift safety and maintenance checks
Follow all safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures
Read and follow work instructions, schedules, and production tickets
Communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced team environment
