The Receiver receives stock and places it in the proper storage areas. Places orders as instructed. Also sweeps, mops, and cleans as needed. This role is responsible for ensuring proper rotation of product and adherence to FIFO at all times. Performs general sanitation, such as wiping walls, sweeping under shelves, and cleaning equipment. Ensures proper receiving policies, including taking temperatures of TCS items. Puts food away in a manner that ensures proper integrity and quality of product. Continuously maintains all product, including checking for expiration dates. Manages par levels within the department and maintains constant communication with the Executive Chef around necessary products and suggested specials. Sweeps, mops, and cleans the area as directed throughout the shift, prioritizing work assignments and maintaining a clean work area at all times. The role also involves transporting and delivering food to St. Luke’s locations and special events, including facilities without on-site cafeteria services.
