Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1F, national consensus standard ASME NQA-1-2008/ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with quality concepts and principles and how these are applied.
  • Experience with inspection principles and practices.
  • Experience in performing detailed reviews of quality documentation to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory defined requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated experience interacting and effectively communicating with all levels of customers and management.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing quality assurance portions of the nonconformance program.
  • Previous experience as a qualified receipt inspector.
  • Experience leading and supporting assessments, surveillances, and/or audits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product quality through performance of receipt inspections.
  • Plan, perform, and report/present results of receipt inspections.
  • Perform receipt inspections in accordance with customer-specified criteria and nuclear facility requirements (e.g. NQA-1).
  • Provide assistance to customer organizations on quality assurance issues and activities.
  • Support the supply chain quality programs e.g., suspect/counterfeit, nonconformance reporting, and supplier evaluation.
  • Support project planning meetings and schedule discussions related to the planning and performing of receipt inspections.
