Rec Sports Social Media Student Assistant
About The Position
The Rec Sports Social Media Student Assistant supports Recreational Sports & Wellness by representing Mercer University and Sheffield Gym online. The position is intended for a currently enrolled Mercer University student with an interest in social media, marketing, communications, fitness, wellness, recreation, or a related area. The role requires familiarity with Instagram and other major social media platforms, strong communication and interpersonal skills, dependability, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines. The assistant must be able to work independently and collaborate with staff and student employees, using professional judgment when representing the university online. The position pays $12.50 per hour and is scheduled for 10 hours. The stated start date is October 6, 2026, and the end date is May 15, 2027.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Mercer University student.
- Strong interest in social media, marketing, communications, fitness, wellness, recreation, or a related area.
- Familiarity with Instagram and other major social media platforms.
