About The Position

This position supports plant manufacturing equipment systems under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor. The Rebuild Tech is responsible for the full lifecycle management of equipment rebuilds, from initial assessment through completion, testing, and return to service. This role performs hands-on rebuild work on manufacturing equipment, manages the rebuild queue and priorities, and supports the development and implementation of standardized rebuild testing protocols. The Rebuild Tech also provides support to major repair efforts and remediation teams, and builds test fixtures to facilitate quality and functional verification of rebuilt equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform full equipment rebuilds on complex electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with rebuild tracking systems or equivalent logging and documentation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Understanding of cGMP requirements and experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and precision assembly skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an equipment maintenance or rebuild technician role with hands-on experience performing full equipment overhauls.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple rebuild projects simultaneously, maintain accurate records, and uphold quality standards throughout the rebuild process.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical apprenticeship or Associate's degree in a related mechanical or electrical field preferred; equivalent job experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience designing or fabricating test fixtures is a plus
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete equipment rebuilds, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, component replacement, and reassembly to manufacturer and internal specifications
  • Manage the rebuild process for each unit, including logging units into the rebuild tracking system, tracking repair history and documenting findings, and identifying opportunities to optimize the rebuild process
  • Manage the rebuild queue and work priorities in alignment with production needs and leadership direction
  • Assist maintenance teams with major equipment repairs as needed
  • Support remediation teams by providing rebuild expertise and hands-on technical assistance
  • Design and build test fixtures to support functional and quality verification of rebuilt equipment
  • Develop, set up, and implement a standardized rebuild testing plan to ensure consistent quality outcomes across all rebuilt units
  • Minimal travel to support equipment build/integration and/or training may be required.
