About The Position

Responsible for manufacturing customized rebar products in accordance with work orders, rebar tags, customer specifications, and company quality standards. This hands-on, production-focused role involves the safe operation of rebar fabrication equipment, material handling, and preparing finished products for shipment in an industrial environment. Work is performed under close supervision, with limited independent judgment and review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor. Duties may be performed indoors or outdoors, as required.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification required where applicable.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, including using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in rebar fabrication, manufacturing, or a related production environment.
• Ability to read basic work orders and rebar tags.
• Experience operating fabrication machinery.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate reinforcing steel (rebar) products according to work orders and rebar tag specifications, including bar size, bends, quantities, and dimensions.
• Set up and safely operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, and automated bending machines.
• Stack, band, stage, and organize fabricated materials in accordance with production flow and supervisor direction.
• Visually inspect finished materials and take standard measurements to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Identify defects or issues and make necessary adjustments according to established processes.
• Prepare completed products for shipment using protective materials such as bracing, padding, and strapping to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, participate in required safety training, and promptly report hazards or safety concerns.
