About The Position
Nucor Rebar Fabrication is North America’s leading fabricator, installer and distributor of concrete reinforcing steel and related products. They provide local service from rebar fabrication shops across North America, driven by their team's knowledge, experience, and know-how. The company respects, believes, and invests in its people to deliver the highest level of service to customers. They are seeking safety-conscious individuals to join their Regina location for a temporary Rebar Fabricator position. Rebar Fabricators are responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders.
Requirements
- Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements.
- Must become familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.
- Must have a form of reliable transportation. Location is not accessible via public transportation and is not within walking distance.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.
- Operate a bender to fabricate reinforcing steel to the required dimensions.
- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
- Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select materials for fabrication or shipment.
- Unload trailers and store materials in storage bins.
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
- Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.
