About The Position

AGF is seeking a Rebar Detailer for a permanent, full-time role at their Rocky View office. The position starts in person with the potential for remote work based on experience and learning pace. AGF is a leader in reinforcing steel and post-tensioning with over 75 years of experience and a strong focus on health and safety, innovation, and a family spirit. Rebar is described as the backbone of buildings, strengthening concrete to ensure structural integrity. AGF has a significant project history in Alberta across various sectors including institutional, industrial, civil engineering, commercial, and residential.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in technical engineering, architecture, or building design
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience specifically in rebar detailing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, RebarCAD, or Revit is required
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work well in a team, and excellent prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Produce placing drawings according to structural drawings
• Review drawings to ensure there are no errors and that they comply with Canadian and government standards
• Release bar lists to be used for the manufacturing of reinforcing steel, including length, diameter, and bending requirements
• Monitor drawing submission schedules according to the project schedule
• Communicate regularly with our Technical Coordinators and Project Managers
• Perform other administrative tasks
