About The Position

They have contributed to numerous significant projects in the Ottawa region. AGF is seeking an experienced detailer to join their team.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a rebar detailer
Completion of a college program in a related field
Strong ability to visualize structural elements from drawings
Excellent mathematical skills and high attention to detail
Proven ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare clear reports
Very good verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized, autonomous, creative, flexible, and able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

Produce placing drawings according to Structural Drawings
Review detailer's drawings to make sure there are no errors and that they comply with Canadian and government standards
Release bar lists to be used for the manufacturing of reinforcing steel length, diameter, and bending requirements
Schedule and plan on-site delivery of rebar
Draft RFI’s to send to the client
Suggest and implement technical solutions to improve site and project challenge outcomes
Monitor drawing submission schedule according to the project schedule
Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and our Site Foremen
