About The Position

LeMay Centralia, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Rear Load Garbage Truck Driver to join their team in Centralia, WA. This is a full-time career opportunity with competitive pay and benefits, offering the chance to be home every night. While previous waste industry experience is a plus, it is not required as training will be provided for the right candidate. The role involves operating a garbage truck on designated routes, performing vehicle inspections, and interacting with customers. Requirements

Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement required
Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview)
Safety-Sensitive – YES (Drug Test Required)

Nice To Haves

Previous waste industry experience
Class A CDL Preferred
Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste.
Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
