About The Position

As a Realty Project Coach, you'll join Walmart US's Realty Execution team, taking ownership of store and club remodels, new store/club openings, and special projects across the US. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. You will partner with store team leads to supervise hourly team members, manage escalations, and collaborate with store leadership to maintain project timelines. Additionally, you will develop associates by providing supervision, training, mentorship, recognition, and identifying career paths, while actively listening to and acting on their ideas and concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 1 year of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area OR 3 years of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel frequently up to 1000 miles from home, being away from home 80% of the time, or for 17-21 days at a time.
  • Ability to work primarily overnights; night shifts average from 10 to 12 hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction remodels, project management, space management, and/or store design.
  • Experience with leading people, projects, initiatives, or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Master’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 1 year’s experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management - Management Professional Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver store and club remodels, new stores and clubs, and special projects across the US.
  • Ensure projects are done on time, within budget, and meet top-notch quality standards.
  • Partner with store team leads to supervise hourly team members.

  • Own the execution of projects in your assigned stores.
  • Communicate plans, changes, and obstacles to key stakeholders.
  • Understand plans and minimize impact on store operations.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for your team members.
  • Spend time listening and acting on ideas, suggestions, questions, or concerns.
  • Evaluate talent, train and mentor, provide recognition, and identify career paths for associates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
  • Attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
