Twin Health•New York, NY
•$185,000 - $195,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Twin Health is hiring a Real World Data Lead to build and own the claims data foundation used to demonstrate outcomes and savings to partners. The role owns Twin’s claims data architecture end to end, transforming ingested partner claims data into standardized, trusted, analytics-ready tables and consolidating existing reporting marts onto a common data model. The work supports partner reporting, performance guarantee measurement, and a partner-facing portal, in collaboration with data engineering, application engineering, health economics, actuarial, and partner-facing teams. The role designs and implements a Tuva-based claims data model in dbt and Snowflake, develops partner connectors, and establishes data quality controls. It also builds secure, versioned serving tables for application queries, maintains consistent metric definitions, and manages model upgrades, testing, deployment, documentation, and communication to downstream users. The position is a hybrid opportunity based out of Twin Health’s New York office. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in data or analytics engineering, including at least 3 years working directly with healthcare claims data.
  • Deep familiarity with medical and pharmacy claims and eligibility data, including adjudication, reversals, claim lag, and standard code sets such as ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, NDC, and NPI.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining production dbt projects, including model contracts and versions, testing, and CI.
  • Advanced SQL and Snowflake experience, including query performance tuning, RBAC, row access and masking policies, and warehouse cost management.
  • Proven experience delivering data to applications or external customers through stable, versioned interfaces, with an understanding of production-grade data products.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across data engineering, application engineering, and analytical teams to define data contracts, metric definitions, and ownership boundaries.
  • Demonstrated interest in using AI-assisted development and coding agents to accelerate connector development, testing, and documentation.
  • Passion for Twin’s purpose of empowering people to reverse, prevent, and improve chronic metabolic diseases.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; Twin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payer data formats 837, 835, and 834.
  • Hands-on experience with the Tuva Project.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Twin’s Tuva-based claims data architecture in dbt and Snowflake, from the Tuva Input Layer through Tuva Core and reporting data marts.
  • Develop and maintain partner connectors that map ingested claims and eligibility data to the Tuva Input Layer, and collaborate with the ingestion team on data contracts between raw and modeled data.
  • Own claims data quality through structural and logical checks, partner-source monitoring, and reconciliation of modeled outputs against partner-reported totals.
  • Migrate existing reporting marts to the common data model, retire duplicated claims logic, and run old and new versions in parallel to avoid interrupting current reporting.
  • Build the partner portal serving layer with versioned, contract-enforced tables, including pre-aggregated models, performance tuning, and partner-facing freshness commitments.
  • Enforce partner data isolation and PHI security in Snowflake using role-based access, row access policies, secure views, and masking.
  • Maintain consistent definitions for savings, PMPM, utilization, and outcome measures across the portal and contract measurement in collaboration with health economics and actuarial partners.
  • Manage the model lifecycle, including Tuva version upgrades, regression testing, CI/CD, documentation, and change communication to downstream consumers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package; the position is bonus eligible.
  • Opportunity for equity participation.
  • Unlimited vacation with manager approval.
  • 16 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for delivering parents and 8 weeks for non-delivering parents.
