This role involves developing and recommending policies, plans, budgets, and procedures for real property acquisition objectives. The specialist will provide technical advice and guidance on regulations and procedural requirements related to property acquisition or use. Key responsibilities include working with client organizations to identify and administer requirements for real estate use via permit, lease, license, or other acquisition methods. This includes preparing various real estate documents, conducting out-leasing, lease management, and coordinating interagency property use. The specialist will also coordinate divestiture actions, including transfers, appraisals, and land surveys, and resolve property-related issues. Assisting with inventory accountability, updating real property records, and completing necessary forms are also part of the role. Experience with federal real estate acquisition, leasing, and disposal procedures is required, along with specific experience in complex federal real property work, including divestiture of communications sites and lighthouses, and DOD BRAC processes.
