About The Position

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Real Estate Valuation Manager for their Tomahawk office. This management position is part of the Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate division and will support the Steigerwaldt Appraisal department. The role involves managing a team of professionals, overseeing daily operations, planning work, conducting team meetings, and managing performance. The position also includes client communication, relationship management, budget oversight, and ensuring the quality of valuation project outcomes. Project management responsibilities encompass scheduling, workflow, budgeting, quality control, and project closeout. Additionally, the role involves performing valuation and appraisal tasks, contributing to market updates, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Previous related professional experience is helpful.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in your functional/technical expertise areas of forest data analysis, markets, and research.
  • Strong organizing and planning skills that are conducive to being highly productive and efficient for the company and client.
  • An effective problem solver that can identify the root of a problem, provide productive solutions, act decisively, and show good judgement.
  • Current valid driver’s license and personal vehicle suitable for field use
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with management, support staff, and clients
  • Ability to travel as needed - up to 25%
  • Ability to oversee multiple appraisal projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present finding and collaborating with utility companies, legal terms, and government agencies

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, or related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in Real Estate Valuation or similar role
  • Experience in client relationship management
  • Certified General Appraiser status now or within designated time
  • Experience with coordinating large-scale utility or infrastructure projects, particularly in eminent domain contexts

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of professionals with responsibilities that include daily oversight, work planning, and team meetings.
  • Weekly team, work-flow meetings and monthly department strategy meetings

  • Organization and prioritization of department business
  • Client communications and relationship management
  • Budget and strategic oversight and execution of Appraisal Department business and work plans
  • Oversight of valuation project outcomes and client satisfaction
  • All aspects of project management to include scheduling, workflow, budgeting, quality control, and project closeout
  • Perform valuation and appraisal project components and/or analysis
  • Contribute to periodic market and asset performance client updates
  • Other duties as assigned
