About The Position

As a Title Searcher in our Real Estate department, you will be responsible for the research and examination of real estate titles by traveling to multiple counties and via the internet. Requirements

2 years of experience in paralegal work related to real estate
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to obtain Notary License in state of employment
Ability to prioritize numerous tasks on a high-volume team
Lives within a commutable distance to our Charlotte or Fayetteville locations for training both a new hire and periodically as needed.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience with title searches
Associates in paralegal studies
State or National Paralegal Certification
Experience with SoftPro and Protrsust
Active Notary License in state of employment

Responsibilities

Travel to assigned counties to conduct title searches and attend sales hearings
Computer research using various programs associated to the state and county databases
Examine documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify factors such as property’s legal descriptions, ownership, or restrictions
Create title reports and submit title work to requesting parties
Willingness to travel
