The main purpose of the Real Estate Specialist role is to manage commercial real estate closings, including selecting, negotiating prices for, and approving third-party reports such as title commitments, environmental assessments, and surveys. The specialist will also review these reports to resolve any title issues, environmental concerns, or survey exceptions.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the Real Estate industry and best practices
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • 3+ years commercial banking experience required

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years residential real estate, title company, or legal and financial experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Servicing Supervisor and close working relationship with CRE Manager, attorneys, borrowers, relationship managers, general contractor, inspecting architect and title company during the commercial loan construction process
  • Responsible for administering construction draw process including but not limited reviewing mechanic lien searches, inspection reports, loan budget comparison, submit for approval the draw funding, verifying the work was processed accurately, and update pipeline and commitment balance spreadsheets.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during the construction loan phase
  • Provide department leadership and stakeholders with technical expertise and communicate bank policies for customer presentation of the draw process
  • Administer and reconcile accounts receivable general ledger account
  • Support department with customer relations, including but not limited to, processes advances & payments, direct collection of deposits, wire transfers, overdrafts, fraud, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
