About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving home sales, supporting onsite teams, and ensuring inventory readiness across an assigned portfolio of communities. The RSM serves as a strategic partner to the Community Managers and Sales Associates by delivering coaching, KPI oversight, marketing support, and field guidance that accelerates sales performance. This position reports directly to the VP of Home Sales, with a dotted-line partnership to Regional Vice Presidents for daily operational alignment. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and is passionate about building teams, removing obstacles, and fostering a high-energy culture centered around achieving measurable outcomes.

  • Knowledge of communities, competition, and overall market including product, site, local community, sales, incentives, advertising, and demographics.
  • Proficiency in CRM usage.
  • Understanding of sales process standards and company policies.
  • Knowledge of fair housing requirements.
  • Ability to partner with various departments including Project Managers, Construction, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own regional KPI execution and achievement.
  • Review daily/weekly performance: leads, tours, applications, closings.
  • Identify performance gaps early and implement targeted coaching.
  • Conduct weekly sales reviews with each community.
  • Provide hands-on field coaching, script practice, and CRM training.
  • Support onboarding of new Sales Associates.
  • Reinforce professionalism, follow-up standards, and customer engagement expectations.
  • Conduct monthly inventory audits and ensure accuracy in MA/HITS.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Construction to ensure homes are photo-ready, priced, and listed.
  • Create action plans for aged inventory.
  • Maintain knowledge of communities, competition, and overall market including product, site, local community, sales, incentives, advertising, and demographics.
  • Ensure each community has an active traffic-generation plan (listings, Facebook Marketplace, signage, open houses).
  • Review listing analytics and provide feedback to agents.
  • Partner with Marketing for campaigns and advertising requests.
  • Monitor CRM usage daily for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure adherence to sales process standards and company policies.
  • Maintain compliance with fair housing requirements.
  • Partner with Regional Vice Presidents on staffing, customer escalations, and operational needs.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Construction, Finance, and Marketing as needed.
  • Provide weekly reporting to VP of Home Sales: sales performance, risks, opportunities, inventory status.
  • Communicate policy changes and expectations clearly to onsite teams.
