About The Position

The Real Estate Processor is responsible for ensuring commercial loans secured by real estate and other collateral are processed and closed in accordance with approved loan terms, UBank policies, and applicable requirements. The Real Estate Processor reviews loan approval information, entity documentation, collateral due diligence, and loan documents to identify outstanding items or discrepancies before closing. This position works closely with Lenders, Lending Assistants, and other parties involved in the loan process to complete closing and funding of loans.

Requirements

Prior commercial loan closing experience, including due diligence requirements of commercial real estate collateral, entity documentation, and various loan types such as participations, SBA, construction, and lines of credit preferred.
Knowledge of financial institutions policies, procedures and regulations preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Ability to prioritize multiple loans and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Process and review complex commercial loan closing from submission through initial funding for internally prepared and attorney prepared loan documents.
Review new commercial real estate loans, construction loans, lines of credit, loan renewals, modifications, and other commercial transactions as assigned.
Monitor assigned loans throughout the closing process and maintain accurate loan status.
Review loan documentation and closing requirements against the approved loan terms and conditions.
Verify that required approval conditions have been satisfied before closing and funding.
Identify missing information, documentation discrepancies, and outstanding closing requirements and communicate them to the appropriate lending team member.
Manage multiple loan files and closing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Collects, reviews, and analyzes due diligence required to close loan including but not limited to, entity documentation, UCC searches, flood certificates, appraisals, environmental reports, insurance, lien searches, title commitments, surveys and all required documentation based on collateral type.
Review title and collateral documentation to identify potential issues that could affect closing or lien perfection.
Verify that required insurance and collateral documentation meet UBank requirements.
Coordinate corrections or additional documentation when issues are identified.
Assist with lien perfection based on the type of collateral, including UCC filings when applicable.
Follow Ubank's lending policies and procedures.
Ensure loan files contain required documentation and approvals.
Identify and escalate policy exceptions or other issues requiring additional approval.
Maintain confidentiality of borrower and bank information.
Prepare loan documents internally or coordinate with the Lending Assistant when attorney-prepared documents are required.
Review attorney-prepared loan documents for consistency with approved loan terms.
Coordinate execution of loan documents and submit initial funding once all closing conditions are met.
Coordinate funding with the appropriate internal departments.
Review executed closing package for completeness and follow up on outstanding signatures or corrections.
Cross-train in other Loan Operations functions to provide coverage during employee absences or periods of increased volume.
Provide backup support to other members of Loan Operations as needed.
