We are a well-established law firm based in Raleigh, NC, specializing in a broad range of real estate law. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team with a specific focus on new construction transactions. As a Real Estate Paralegal at our firm, you will play an integral role in assisting our attorneys with new construction transactions from inception through closing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate law, particularly with new construction real estate closings and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal with a focus on new construction.
  • Strong understanding of real estate laws and closing processes.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SoftPro Select.
  • Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and document review skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in managing all aspects of new construction real estate closings.
  • Review documents related to purchase contracts, title reports, surveys, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare closing documents, including deeds, powers of attorney, trust certificates and other legal documents, for attorney review.
  • Coordinate with builders, lenders, realtors, and other related parties to ensure all necessary documentation is in order for closings.
  • Draft and review closing documents ensuring the accuracy of all documents.
  • Prepare and record documents with appropriate government agencies, including deeds, deeds of trust, and other title documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of final title opinions for post-closing.
  • Manage and track key deadlines and keep all parties informed of timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to new construction deals.
