Our Development Project Managers work within the Real Estate Team to promote and develop affordable housing in keeping with Foundation Communities’ mission of creating housing where families succeed. Their primary role is to shepherd our housing projects from initial concepts all the way through occupancy and maintenance, ensuring that each project meets all organizational goals, funding parameters, and tight timelines. Doing so successfully requires an eye for detail without losing track of the big picture. Most importantly, the Development Project Manager interacts, coordinates, and collaborates with a wide spectrum of stakeholders: multiple departments within Foundation Communities, design and engineering professional consultants, lenders and funding sources, legal and insurance representatives, governmental entities, contractors and construction vendors, residents, and more. An ideal Development Project Manager is a generalist with broad knowledge of the real estate development process while also bringing deeper expertise in one or more particular phase, project type, or other specialty. Thus, they may come from a wide range of related fields and diverse backgrounds. Working within the Foundation Communities Real Estate Team, Project Managers have the support of fellow Project Managers with their experience and specialties, the Director-level positions responsible for different project components, and supporting teammates.
