About The Position

As a Senior Tax Manager at Crowe LLP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients within the construction and real estate industries, leading the delivery of complex tax consulting, compliance, and planning services. This role requires the ability to oversee multiple client engagements, manage high-performing teams, and provide strategic guidance to clients while driving exceptional service delivery. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tax engagements, including planning, execution, review, and delivery, while maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value. As a senior leader within the practice, you will provide technical expertise, mentor team members, and contribute to the growth and development of both the local office and broader tax practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Active CPA license required
  • Minimum of 8 years of public accounting experience, with significant experience serving construction and real estate clients.
  • Demonstrated success managing client engagements and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge, including tax planning, research, and compliance.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and team development experience.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead complex projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Taxation or LL.M. preferred
  • Experience with real estate partnerships strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements for construction and real estate clients, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Review federal and state income tax returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Provide tax consulting and planning services, including technical research, analysis, and implementation of strategic tax solutions.
  • Prepare and review technical tax memoranda and advise clients on complex tax matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted business advisor and identifying opportunities to expand services.
  • Manage engagement economics, including budgeting, billing, collections, and overall profitability.
  • Monitor and manage risk related to tax services and ensure compliance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with partners and leadership to support practice growth, business development, and operational excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor staff and managers through coaching, performance feedback, and career development initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional client service and continuous improvement.
