As we continue to expand, we’re seeking an ambitious and analytical Real Estate Acquisition and Development Associate to join our growing team. We’re looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about real estate, particularly the fast-growing self-storage sector. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the acquisition and development lifecycle, from market research and financial modeling to due diligence and deal execution.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, development, or investment analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong financial modeling and analytical skills required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding of self-storage or commercial real estate markets a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify acquisition opportunities based on demographic trends, zoning, transportation, and market demand.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models in Excel to project income statements, cash flows, and balance sheets.
  • Support the evaluation, underwriting, and structuring of self-storage and commercial real estate acquisitions.
  • Assist in coordinating project management and development activities across active sites.
  • Prepare investment presentations and internal memos to support executive and investment committee decisions.
  • Manage and maintain due diligence checklists and closing timelines.
  • Develop investor reporting, budgets, and capital/debt proposal materials.
  • Track and interpret key project data including schedules, budgets, contracts, and financials.
  • Proactively source off-market acquisition and development opportunities by identifying high-potential assets and initiating direct outreach to owners, leveraging data-driven strategies and relationship-building to generate investment opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to stay ahead of market trends.
