About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Real Estate Accounting & Operations Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of commercial properties. This role blends property accounting with day-to-day operational support and is ideal for someone who understands real estate fundamentals and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. This is not a siloed accounting role. The right candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and able to navigate both the financial and operational sides of property management.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in property management accounting, real estate, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Familiarity with lease terminology and real estate workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable across multiple properties, including vendors, utilities, taxes, and mortgages
  • Process tenant billing, including rent, CAM/NNN charges, and shared utilities
  • Track and maintain accurate property-level income and expense records
  • Assist with monthly close, including reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Support cash flow tracking and reporting across real estate entities
  • Track lease terms, rent schedules, escalations, and expirations
  • Understand and apply basic lease structures (NNN, CAM, etc.)
  • Coordinate with property management on tenant receivables and billing adjustments
  • Assist with reconciliations tied to lease terms and tenant activity
  • Coordinate vendor payments, contracts, and ongoing services
  • Support facilities and property management teams with financial and administrative needs
  • Assist with tracking construction projects and related costs
  • Maintain organized records for licenses, filings, and compliance requirements
  • Provide reporting and analysis as needed
  • Assist with AP/AR and billing coverage when required
  • Handle a variety of day-to-day tasks that support the overall real estate operation
