About The Position

Knife River is a PEOPLE-first company and one of the 10 largest construction materials producers/contractors in the Country. This is a seasonal position, allowing for winters off while benefits continue year-round. The role supports daily plant operations at the Bison Generation Plant North of Epping ND by performing routine maintenance, housekeeping, and general labor tasks, ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Maintain good attendance and safety record and set an example for others to follow.
• Communicate effectively to co-workers, management, suppliers, and others you encounter.
• Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance preferred.
• Must have good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to operate small hand tools.
• Must have a “Safety First” attitude.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
• Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience around ready-mix plants, loader, welding skills is a plus.
• Class A or B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily plant maintenance to support safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the plant and yard through regular housekeeping tasks.
• Complete general labor duties, including raking, shoveling, and material handling.
• Safely perform basic equipment maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Communicate promptly with the plant supervisor regarding plant, yard, or equipment issues.
• Ensure DOT, MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
• Complete all required safety documents and project reporting.
• Blowing cement-Fly Ash from Pig to Plant
• Perform Quality Control Plant Air and Slump Tests
• Always work safely and take action to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
