About The Position

This is an opportunity with significant impact on our Folsom Ready Mix business. Our Driver jobs are for those who want to be outside serving our customers. A Folsom Ready Mix Driver is a great opportunity whether you are looking to spend your career with us as a Driver, want to get your foot in the door with us to explore other careers at some point, or just want to earn some extra income. The role involves delivering ready-mix concrete and associated products in a safe and efficient manner to construction sites, after being loaded at one of our concrete plant locations. Drivers are also responsible for vehicle maintenance, including pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, checking fluid levels daily, and keeping the vehicle clean inside the cab, inside the drum, and the exterior using proper wash down procedures. The position requires the effective use of a computer tablet and IOT devices. Ideal candidates love to work independently, enjoy driving safely, and engaging with customers face to face. Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age with High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid California Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License, with a tanker endorsement
• Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and physical and be subject to random drug testing in accordance with Company/Federal testing requirements
• Ability to bend to ground-level and reach to upper levels with use of a ladder
• Stamina to stand and walk for most of the work shift
• Ability to lift upwards of 40 lbs
• Ability to perform simple math, e.g., addition, subtraction, etc.
• Clear English speaking/writing and attentive listening skills
• Driving, using maps and directions
• Ability to be flexible with your schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Delivering ready-mix concrete and associated products in a safe and efficient manner to construction sites, after being loaded at one of our concrete plant locations
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspection
• Checking vehicle fluid levels daily and adding fluids if necessary
• Keeping the vehicle clean inside the cab, inside the drum, and the exterior of the vehicle using proper wash down procedures
• Effectively using computer table and IOT devices
