About The Position

Delta Industries Inc. is looking to hire a highly skilled Construction Equipment Mechanic to work on its fleet of Heavy Equipment to include Concrete Mixer Trucks, Tractor Trailer units, End Loaders and any other equipment needed. This position will be hands on and working on minor repairs for the most part.

Requirements

Extensive experience working on Commercial Motor Vehicles.
Ability to work alone and accomplish tasks efficiently.
Must have own tools.

Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of various mechanical systems of diesel engines.
Knowledge of various electrical systems of diesel engines.
Familiarity with standard practices, equipment, and tools of the automotive and equipment mechanical trade.
Understanding of principles and practices of diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of methods and techniques of welding and fabrication.
Familiarity with operating and repair characteristics of hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety procedures.
CDL A/B license is preferred.
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
5 years of experience in Diesel engine repair (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs on Concrete Mixer Trucks, Tractor Trailer units, End Loaders and other heavy equipment.
Work hands-on with vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
Diagnose and repair various mechanical and electrical systems of diesel engines.
Perform welding and fabrication (a plus).
Repair hydraulic systems.
Adhere to occupational hazards and standard safety procedures.
