Ready Mix CDL Driver
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role involves safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to customer job sites, performing necessary inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires effective communication with dispatch, customers, and teammates to ensure timely delivery, as well as maintaining vehicle cleanliness and ensuring proper equipment operation. A strong commitment to safety guidelines and procedures is essential for supporting a zero-incident workplace.
Requirements
- Safe, dependable driver with strong awareness of surroundings and road conditions
- Ability to learn and operate ready-mix equipment and related systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to customer job sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and teammates to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper operation of all equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to support a zero‑incident workplace
