About The Position
Supplemental Reading Teacher for the 2026-27 School Year Only. This is a 1-year grant-supported position that may be extended as determined by grant funding.
Requirements
- Ohio Teaching License
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- Reading Endorsement
- Passing a background check
- Pre-employment drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Professional License Preferred
- Prior experience working with students with reading difficulties preferred
- Take and pass KPEERI (Knowledge and Practice Examination for Effective Reading Instruction)
- CERI (Center for Effective Reading Instruction) credentials
Responsibilities
- Determines reading and skill deficiencies
- Provides instruction in the areas of need
- Progress monitors academic progress and communicates progress to parents
- Formative and summative skills testing of students
- Supports classroom learning by communicating with classroom teacher
- Educates parents on how to support student with reading
- Participates in conferences about students
- Assesses students as needed and supports school with testing as permissible
