About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE position for Barcroft Elementary. The role involves implementing instructional programs, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents, maintaining student records, collaborating with various stakeholders, monitoring student achievement, and attending professional development. The salary will be based on the 2026-27 salary schedule. Applicants are required to upload their teacher license, college transcripts, and test scores for screening.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure
• Must have or be eligible for reading endorsement (masters in reading or masters in another teaching area plus reading endorsement)
• Teaching experience in the above mentioned area
• Knowledge of best instructional practices
• Ability to integrate technology
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education
• Dual endorsement in any other content area

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
• Maintains safe and orderly environment
• Communicates with parents/guardians
• Maintains complete and accurate student records
• Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
• Monitors and assesses student achievement
• Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings
