About The Position

North Canton City Schools is seeking a Reading Specialist for the North Canton Intermediate School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time position (5 hours per day) with an Individual Small Group Instructor (ISGI) contract type. The primary responsibility is to provide small group reading instruction and intervention. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in diagnosing reading deficits and administering progress monitoring assessments.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of and experience in diagnosing reading deficits and administering progress monitoring assessments.
• Must have at least one of the following certifications: PreK-12 or K-12 Reading Endorsement, Elementary (K-8) or (1-8), Primary (PreK-5).

Responsibilities

• Provide small group reading instruction and intervention in a small group setting.
