About The Position

The Leadership School prepares students to be in the driver’s seat of their own learning and to navigate the path toward the lives they imagine for themselves. We are the first public charter school in St. Louis County, paving the way for educational choice and opportunity for all families in the St. Louis area. We opened our doors in 2022 and serve K-6 students in the Normandy area. Requirements

• A track record of success as a teacher (at least 3-5 years of experience teaching foundational literacy)
• High expectations for all students & the belief that all children deserve a life of opportunity & choice
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, & problem-solving skills

• Missouri Teaching Certificate – Required

Responsibilities

• Design and provide small group intervention for students who are in the beginning stages of developing their foundational literacy skills
• Manage reading success plans and reading diagnostics/benchmark testing
• Maintain accurate progress monitoring for students receiving intervention and utilize data to guide instruction
• Facilitate our school’s partnership with Ignite Reading, managing a class of up to 25 students as they participate in virtual tutoring
• Prepare supplemental resources that lead students to a deep understanding of content
