This position is responsible for supporting Distribution Line Operations Management by pre inspecting jobs to ensure overall job readiness, as well as identifying and minimizing safety exposures in the field. The role involves physically visiting jobs to determine their readiness state and communicating with relevant parties before jobs are dispatched. It requires a clear understanding of safety protocols and the ability to apply safe work practices. The position also supports storm restoration efforts and involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders regarding construction and maintenance activities. The Readiness Coordinator gathers information through field investigations, performs pre-work request assessments, and ensures underground utility locates are completed. They also assist with claims resolutions, manage time and priorities, provide technical reports, and develop work process improvements. Collaboration with Line Supervisors to discuss work details, special needs, and review prints is also a key aspect of the role. The position may require support during emergencies and storm-related activities, travel to various locations, and attendance at required regulatory training. Serving as backup or support to the Planner/Scheduler position and potentially acting as the call duty Supervisor are also responsibilities.
