About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Readiness and Fleet Management SME to support CPE Headquarters. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. The role involves supporting the CPE AVN Fleet Management team in advancing the CPE Aviation strategy focused on sustainability, readiness, and reduced operational burden on Soldiers. This includes conducting predictive and diagnostic analytics on fleet-wide logistics and maintenance data, analyzing flying hour and sustainment data for cost-reduction strategies, and serving as a subject matter expert in fleet sustainment, life-cycle management, and enterprise aviation readiness. The position also contributes to digital transformation, supports strategic decision-making meetings, prepares inputs for senior-level meetings, manages materiel readiness reporting accounts, ensures compliance with Army regulations, collaborates across the Army Aviation Enterprise, reviews and validates data, provides technical guidance on materiel fielding, and participates in customer and stakeholder meetings. The role requires consolidation of fleet readiness, flying hour, and program review inputs, as well as reporting materiel fielding taskers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is necessary, along with effective communication and teamwork skills. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in an unrelated field with a minimum of 10 years of logistics experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet management and readiness reporting planning, coordination, communication, and oversight.
  • Extensive knowledge of fleet management and readiness reporting systems.
  • Strong understanding of Army materiel fielding programs and logistics information systems.
  • Full understanding of Army materiel readiness processes per AR 700‑138.
  • Experience managing operational unit fleet management and readiness reporting for Army Aviation aircraft.
  • Experience preparing high‑quality meeting inputs requiring minimal senior‑review rework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Proven project and task management experience, including consolidation/reporting of inputs across multiple product offices and headquarters.
  • Strong capability in strategic analysis of logistics and readiness data, producing data‑driven recommendations and senior‑level reports/charts.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across the Army Aviation Enterprise, including senior leaders, customers, vendors, and government personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CPE AVN Fleet Management team in advancing the CPE Aviation strategy focused on sustainability, readiness, and reduced operational burden on Soldiers.
  • Conduct predictive and diagnostic analytics on fleet‑wide logistics and maintenance data to identify trends, forecast readiness issues, and provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze flying hour and sustainment data to develop cost‑reduction strategies and lower maintenance demands without impacting mission effectiveness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in fleet sustainment, life‑cycle management, and enterprise aviation readiness.
  • Contribute to digital transformation and enterprise‑wide solutions for long-term fleet viability.
  • Support planning, synchronization, and strategic decision-making meetings across the Army Aviation enterprise.
  • Prepare high‑quality narrative and chart-based inputs for senior-level meetings.
  • Manage assigned materiel readiness reporting accounts with senior‑analyst‑level accuracy.
  • Review, interpret, and ensure compliance of CPE Aviation materiel readiness accounts with Army regulations and directives.
  • Collaborate across the Army Aviation Enterprise to ensure consistent fleet management and readiness support.
  • Review and validate materiel readiness and logistics data inputs.
  • Provide technical guidance on materiel fielding processes, legacy system retirement, and new system implementation.
  • Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings to gather data, coordinate schedules, and track progress.
  • Consolidate fleet readiness, flying hour, and program review inputs from multiple product offices.
  • Receive, consolidate, and report materiel fielding taskers from higher headquarters.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat to produce documentation and analysis.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
