About The Position

Join our fast-growing Installed Base Outage Services Organization as an Experienced Reactor Service Technician. This posting is specific for individuals that have performed BWR or PWR Refueling or Under Vessel activities in the nuclear industry but do not yet have the qualifications to move fuel in the reactor core. Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at customer sites (may include equipment associated with refueling and inspecting and maintaining nuclear reactors and components). Conducts a variety of routine field tasks including, but not limited to operating specialized equipment, taking measurements, compiling data, and performing without error in high stress environments. Mains maintenance logs and certification documents. Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance. Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service. Requires travel to a variety of remote job sites. Requires unescorted nuclear access (includes background check, psychological exam, and drug screen).

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Basic knowledge in a particular field of commonly used equipment, practices and concepts.
  • Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies and programs as required for specific roles.
  • Good communication and comprehension skills, translate direction into action.
  • Works effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
  • Awareness of industry regulations (e.g., NRC standards) and safety codes.
  • Requires specific technical training and certification.
