About The Position

The Reactive Maintenance Technician performs industrial maintenance including the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. This includes both mechanical and electrical systems. The role supports operational efficiency by following all safety protocols, predictive maintenance practices, and preventive maintenance standards aligned with Fitesa’s business objectives. This is a night shift position in a non-climate controlled facility.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED - Required
1 year as an industrial maintenance technician in a manufacturing plant - required
Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with motors, bearings, and equipment repair
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
CMMS or work order system experience
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office
Ability to understand and interpret process settings and center lines
Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes, production schedules, and operations documents
Ability to use a calculator and apply basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to read and interpret measurement from a ruler, tape measure, or other measuring device in standard and metric systems
Statistical Analysis skills with the ability to establish and audit against goals
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a team
Demonstrated familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment preferably of a large size, high speed nature
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills
Strong organization skills with attention to detail
Possesses a quality and customer-focused mindset
Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Familiar with air and water pollution control technology and federal, state and community regulatory agency workings
Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
Willing and able to work flexible hours including rotating shifts as needed

Associate's Degree in Mechatronics - Preferred
3-5 years as an industrial maintenance technician in a manufacturing plant - Preferred
CMRT (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician)
OSHA 10
First Responder Training

Responsibilities

Install and maintain production machines and the plant’s facilities equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
Support scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
Perform simple machinist duties.
Perform maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
