About The Position

The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for processing factory transfers within the warehouse and manufacturing areas. This role involves operating industrial forklifts and reach trucks to move materials, load and unload deliveries, and transport goods to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks. The operator must ensure material is transported to the correct locations, loads are secure, and damage is controlled. They will also monitor inventory, identify discrepancies, and utilize the PKMS system through RF scanning. The position requires completing LTL and Will Calls, all required paperwork, and daily pre & post-shift equipment inspections. Attendance at daily safety meetings and proper use of PPE are mandatory. The operator must maintain a clean and safe work environment, execute assignments accurately and safely, and follow all operating instructions and record-keeping procedures. Successful completion of the company's internal forklift and reach truck training program is required.

Requirements

Ability to operate the reach truck / forklift safely and work in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment.
Must be able to handle material in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to successfully process (ex: Basic Loading and Unloading) factory transfers.
Ability to use WMS and scanning equipment.
Must have adequate forklift skills & be able to learn PKMS.
High degree of attention to surroundings required to prevent injury to others / equipment and ensure on-time movement of machines and materials without causing damage.
Ability to work productively with minimal supervision while meeting expectations including safety, quality and on-time requirements.
Basic Computer skills.
Be able to multi-task and pay attention to details.
Good English communication skills, ability to read and write in English.
Be dependable, work well in a team environment and promote safe work environment.
3 plus years of experience operating a forklift.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience operating a reach truck is preferred.
WMS experience helpful but not required.
Experience working in a large scale manufacturing / warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process factory transfers within the warehouse and manufacturing areas.

Transport goods packed on pallets or in crates to designated areas safely.
Ensure material is transported to correct locations.
Ensure loads are secure at all times.
Control damage and monitor inventory and identify discrepancies.
Drive designated vehicle safely.
Utilize the PKMS through RF scanning.
Complete LTL and Will Calls.
Complete all required paperwork and turn it in at the end of each shift.
Complete a daily Pre & Post shift daily equipment/truck inspections.
Attend and participate in daily safety meetings.
Wear proper PPE and uniform at all times during each shift.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
Successfully complete the Company’s forklift and reach truck internal training program.
