The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for various warehouse functions including locating proper slots on storage racks, setting pallets in place with a forklift or hand stacking items, and entering product data and location into the appropriate unit. This role involves counting incoming freight, transporting it to the freezer, and replenishing pick slots with outgoing stock items. The operator will also rotate date-sensitive stock, disperse over-stocked items, and remove waste materials. A key aspect of the job is inspecting pallets for damage and moving them to storage. The operator must adhere to all safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe work area, and report any unsafe conditions. This position requires meeting productivity and accuracy standards, working from various instructions, inspecting items for damage, performing temperature and quality checks, and completing general housekeeping duties. Additionally, the operator must complete vehicle inspection checklists and secure equipment at the end of the shift.
