About The Position

The Reach Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial equipment — primarily the reach truck — to support daily warehouse operations across both the TCS and Leatherology brands at DCI. This role is central to product flow throughout the building: from container unload and putaway to replenishment, cage stocking, and facility upkeep. Equipment Drivers are expected to work across both brands as daily priorities dictate and to perform standard warehouse functions outside of their primary equipment role as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of verified reach truck operating experience required.
  • Active reach truck certification required at time of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate a reach truck or equivalent powered industrial truck in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and maneuvering equipment for the duration of the shift.
  • Basic handheld scanner or WMS experience, or ability to learn quickly.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong attention to detail — bin accuracy and movement documentation are critical to this role.
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime expected during peak season (November–January).
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple product lines and adapt to shifting daily priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced e-commerce or distribution environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable WMS.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent movement tasks and communicate proactively with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the Reach Truck (RT) and other powered industrial equipment to perform putaway, replenishment, and stocking operations.
  • Execute container putaway for both TCS and Leatherology — receive pallets from the dock following a container unload and place them into the correct designated rack positions.
  • Complete BC-generated replenishment movements using the handheld scanner (HH) — pull product from reserve pallet positions and deliver to pick bins (PUTPICK locations) to keep the cage and warehouse stocked.
  • Perform adhoc bin-to-bin reclassification movements as directed, using the HH scanner in Business Central to ensure accurate system records.
  • Stock pick bins and upstock reserve locations in both the cage and warehouse areas as directed to support fulfillment throughput.
  • Assist both TCS and Leatherology brands as needed based on daily priorities set by the Warehouse Lead or Supervisor.
  • Collect, break down, and process trash and cardboard generated throughout the warehouse on a regular schedule, including breaking down boxes and clearing staging areas.
  • Perform standard warehouse functions outside of primary RT duties as directed, including order picking, packing, receiving assistance, drop shipment processing, and other warehouse tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Lead or Supervisor.
  • Complete pre-shift equipment safety inspections on the reach truck and any other assigned powered industrial equipment; report damage, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Lead immediately.
  • Maintain clear aisles, organized staging areas, and a clean work environment at all times.
  • Follow all BC movement and scan protocols to ensure inventory accuracy across every transaction.
  • Communicate movement completions, exceptions, and issues to the Warehouse Lead in real time.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and business ethics codes.
