About The Position

SPR Packaging, LLC, founded in 2006 by a team of experienced flexible packaging managers and associates, aims to fill a niche in the market for customer-oriented manufacturing and service. We are a growing company looking for talented personnel with the passion to learn the needed skills to become an asset for our company. The purpose of this role is to support production and other shipping/receiving personnel and perform general warehouse functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to do basic math
  • Experience operating a reach and sit-down forklift
  • Experience working with high rack layouts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods on hard surfaces
  • Ability to perform in an environment that is not climate-controlled

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow safe work practices.
  • Wrap finished pallets and ensure they contain proper license tags for warehouse location.
  • Bale and scrap by grade: clear and mix.
  • Track scrap tickets associated with each bale and submit them daily.
  • Unload all incoming trucks.
  • Receive all merchandise into the proper location.
  • Record each transaction in the receiving log.
  • Issue a receiving ticket for each packing list or shipping list received.
  • Provide information daily to the appropriate party or CFO for proper receipt into the Vision system.
  • Load trucks with finished goods or designated items and provide a bill of lading detailing the loaded items.
  • Maintain the trailer inspection log for incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Keep the loading area, both inside and outside the plant, clean and free of debris.
  • Monitor the trash compactor and notify the appropriate party when it needs unloading.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the appropriate party, including housekeeping and assisting other employees.
  • Work in a team environment and conduct yourself professionally with other employees and/or contractors.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as necessary.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) are followed daily.
