About The Position

The Albert and Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp is launching a new program called Bonim Farms, which focuses on growing and harvesting produce, as well as making and packaging spices, teas, and other herbs. This program aims to inspire employees, known as Farm Fellows, who are adults with special needs and diverse abilities, to achieve independence, self-determination, and a life filled with purpose, friendship, and inclusion. The Bonim Farm Fellows will work on a part-time basis during the growing season, participating in all aspects of the enterprise, including farming, harvesting, packaging, sales, marketing, and branding.

Responsibilities

Assist with the annual set up and take down of the JCC Rainbow Day Camp Garden
Maintain the garden over the summer season
Harvest produce for the Milwaukee Jewish Food Pantry and the Bonim Farmers Market
Take a larger role in the Bonim Farmers Market, including business and sales components
Work on the creation and packaging of different spices
